COURSE CURRICULUM

The three-year psychology program provides a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, thought, and emotion, combining core principles with contemporary and applied perspectives. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as understanding ourselves and others, mind, brain, and behavior, data handling and analysis in psychology, development in a social world, real world psychology: mental health, and qualitative inquiry in psychology. These modules develop both theoretical understanding and practical research skills. The second year expands on these foundations with modules including personality and individual differences, cognitive neuroscience, psychology in practice, psychosocial development across the lifespan, mental health, wellbeing, and resilience in psychology, and becoming an independent researcher, equipping students with analytical, research, and applied skills while exploring developmental, cognitive, and social aspects of psychology. In the final year, students complete a dissertation and choose from optional modules that allow specialization in areas such as clinical and counseling skills, neuropsychology, psychopharmacology and addictive behaviors, forensic psychology, health psychology, occupational psychology, mental health diagnosis and intervention, therapeutic approaches to behavior change, and psychology of culture and diversity. This combination of compulsory and optional modules enables students to tailor their studies, develop expertise in specific fields, and gain practical experience, preparing them for careers in psychology, mental health, research, and related professional domains.
