COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Esports Management with Event Production degree provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the esports industry, focusing on both management and live event production. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge in personal and professional development, budgeting and finance, and the fundamentals of esports management, alongside exploring the cultural, societal, and media contexts of esports. This establishes a strong base for understanding the industry’s scope and influence. The second year emphasizes applied skills in digital marketing, consumer behaviour, and research methods, while offering practical experience in planning, producing, and delivering esports events. Students also develop leadership, talent management, and risk management skills, and gain insight into ethical considerations, regulations, and the management of esports arenas. In the final year, the course focuses on strategic and analytical skills through a dissertation and modules on data analytics, audience engagement, promotion, consultancy, and contemporary industry issues. Graduates gain a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them to manage esports organisations, events, teams, and digital communities.
