COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Business Economics course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of both micro and macroeconomic principles while equipping them with the analytical, quantitative, and practical skills needed to navigate the modern business environment. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamental concepts including macroeconomics, microeconomics, quantitative methods, business law, professional skills, and an understanding of business operations. The second year builds on this foundation, focusing on applied learning and real-world business contexts, with modules covering economic policy analysis, financial risk and investments, applied data analysis, entrepreneurship, and global financial markets. Students on the internship route gain hands-on experience through the Learning Through Work module, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical business environments. In the final year, the course explores advanced topics such as the economics of artificial intelligence, behavioral economics and happiness, contemporary issues in business economics, business ethics, and sustainability. The capstone Business Economics Project enables students to integrate their learning and undertake independent research, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Overall, the degree prepares graduates to pursue careers in business, finance, consultancy, policy-making, or to continue with postgraduate study, combining a strong theoretical foundation with practical, real-world application.
