COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence degree offers a structured curriculum designed to equip students with both foundational knowledge and advanced expertise in AI and computer science. In the first year, students build essential skills through modules such as Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Programming, Algorithms and Data Types, Information Systems and Databases, and Data Science and Visualisation. These modules provide the mathematical, computational, and analytical foundations required for AI applications. The second year expands into more specialised areas, including Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Theory of Computation, Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Algorithms, and a Computing Group Project, which allows students to apply their learning in practical, collaborative contexts. In the final year, students focus on advanced AI topics through modules such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and an individual Project, providing hands-on experience in implementing AI systems. Optional modules like Robotics and AI or Human-Centred Computing enable students to tailor their studies to specific interests and career goals. Across the course, practical projects, lab work, and research-based assignments ensure that students develop critical problem-solving, technical programming, and data analysis skills.
