COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Airline and Airport Management course offers a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with both technical knowledge and management skills required for a successful career in aviation. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through modules such as The Aviation Professional, Introduction to Air Transport Management, Aircraft Operations and Flight Planning, Air Passenger Experience, Air Transport Finance and Business Strategy, and Specialised Air Transport Services. These modules provide insight into airline and airport operations, customer experience, financial planning, and specialised transport services. Year two builds on this foundation with a focus on operational, technological, and managerial aspects of the industry. Students study Air Transport Systems and Operations, Air Accident Investigation and Safety, Aviation Technology and Innovation, Talent Management and Leadership, Digital Marketing and Revenue Management, and Applied Research Methods, preparing them to analyse complex aviation challenges and manage people and resources effectively. The final year emphasizes strategic thinking and sustainability, covering Airline Route Development and Operations, Sustainable Aviation and the Environment, Airport Planning, Design and Management, Aviation Strategy and Commercial Analysis, and culminating in a Dissertation.
