COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Film, Screen and Content Production degree is designed to develop students into skilled and confident media professionals capable of producing high-quality creative content. In the first year, students acquire foundational skills in post-production, screen storytelling, production fundamentals, short-form project creation, and VFX and virtual production, establishing the technical and creative base required for more advanced work. The second year builds on this foundation, introducing advanced screen production, screenwriting, independent filmmaking, and the development of individual creative styles, while also providing insights into the business and entrepreneurial aspects of the screen industry. Students gain practical experience in managing projects from concept to completion, learning to navigate both creative and professional challenges. In the final year, the focus shifts toward refining ideas, conducting research and development, understanding trends in screen practice and business, and preparing to pitch projects effectively. A major project enables students to produce a substantial creative work, demonstrating their technical and narrative skills, while personal career planning ensures graduates are prepared for employment or further study. Throughout the course, students develop a professional portfolio that showcases their abilities in screen production, storytelling, post-production, and industry-relevant business skills, equipping them for careers in film, digital media, and content creation.
