The BA (Hons) Fashion Design: New Practice degree offers a comprehensive program that equips students with the creative and professional skills needed for a successful career in the fashion industry. In the first year, students develop a foundation in essential design techniques, fashion textiles, and trend forecasting, while gaining an understanding of digital applications in fashion business and preparing for industry engagement. Practical skills are further enhanced through modules such as textile embellishment, providing hands-on experience with materials and techniques. In the second year, the focus expands to more advanced design and business concepts, including soft tailoring, collaborative practices with an emphasis on sustainability, and brand fundamentals.
