COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Esports with Livestreaming degree equips students with the practical skills and industry knowledge needed to succeed in the fast-growing esports sector. In the first year, students develop a foundation in esports principles, video production, podcasting, game design, personal livestreaming, media ethics, and presentation skills, building both technical and creative abilities. The second year focuses on advanced competencies, including esports event fundamentals, multi-camera livestreaming, team game analysis, social media marketing, professional skills development, shoutcasting, and worldbuilding, allowing students to engage with live events and real-world scenarios while honing audience engagement strategies. In the final year, students undertake advanced esports broadcast projects, strategic planning for media, emerging technologies in esports, games business, creative entrepreneurship, and a major project, providing opportunities to integrate learning across all aspects of production, management, and content creation. The course emphasizes hands-on practice, encouraging students to produce, broadcast, and manage live esports events while developing skills in audience interaction, brand management, and digital media. Graduates emerge with a comprehensive understanding of the esports industry and the technical, creative, and entrepreneurial skills required to pursue careers as livestream producers, event managers, shoutcasters, or content creators, prepared to contribute to this dynamic, evolving field.
