COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Sustainable Development provides a strong foundation in the policies, practices, and innovations driving global sustainability. Through a combination of core and optional modules, students gain the skills to critically analyze and shape development strategies that address economic, social, and environmental challenges. Core modules such as Innovation and Economic Development, Policy Making and Policy Analysis, and Sustainable Development: Politics and Policies provide an understanding of how innovation and policy intersect to influence sustainable growth. In spring, the module Perspectives, Methods and Skills for Science, Technology and Innovation Studies equips students with essential analytical and research tools, while the summer dissertation allows them to apply these skills to an independent project on a sustainability-related topic. The course also offers a range of optional modules covering areas like Energy and Development, Artificial Intelligence and Global Digital Policies, and Innovation for Sustainability. These options enable students to tailor their studies according to their interests and career goals. By combining policy insight, innovation theory, and practical research, the program prepares graduates to design and implement effective sustainability initiatives across sectors including government, industry, and international development organizations.
