COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in International Finance offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills in global financial analysis. In the autumn term, students study core modules such as Analytical Methods for Finance and Business Economics, Money, Macro and Banking, Quantitative Methods for Finance and Business, and Trading, which provide a strong foundation in financial theory, macroeconomic principles, quantitative analysis, and market operations. The spring term builds on this foundation with modules including Data Processing, Coding and Visualisation, Finance for Development, Financial and Time Series Econometrics, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Research Methods for International Finance and Business, equipping students with advanced analytical, technical, and research skills. These modules focus on data interpretation, coding for financial applications, econometric modelling, and understanding the structure and functioning of global financial markets. The summer term culminates in the Applied International Finance Project, allowing students to apply their learning to real-world scenarios or independent research, developing problem-solving and decision-making skills. By combining rigorous academic training with hands-on practical experience, the program prepares graduates for careers in international finance, investment analysis, economic policy, and banking, providing the knowledge, technical expertise, and transferable skills required to succeed in a dynamic, global financial environment.
