COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management at Sussex provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the strategies, processes, and systems essential for managing complex supply networks in a global context. Core modules build a strong foundation, beginning in the autumn term with Essentials of Procurement, Logistics Management, Managing Operations and Quality, Personal and Professional Development and Employability, and Supply Chain Management. These modules equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge to manage supply chains effectively while enhancing their professional skills. In the spring term, students advance their expertise through Management of Negotiation, Research Methods for Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Information Systems, and Supply Chain Modelling, emphasizing analytical, strategic, and data-driven decision-making. The program culminates in the Research Project, where students apply their learning to real-world challenges, integrating insights from operations, logistics, procurement, and modelling techniques. Optional modules, such as Humanitarian and Service Supply Chains and Supply Chain Analytics, allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests and emerging industry trends. Through this combination of core and optional modules, students develop the technical, analytical, and strategic skills required to become effective supply chain professionals, capable of driving operational improvements, innovation, and sustainability across diverse sectors and global markets.
