COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Financial Mathematics provides a solid grounding in quantitative finance, risk analysis, and data analytics, preparing students for careers in the global financial sector. The course integrates mathematical theory with financial practice, developing the technical and analytical skills needed to solve complex financial problems. Core modules include Computing for Data Analytics and Finance, Institutions in the Global Financial Market, Financial Investment and Corporate Risk Analysis, and Financial Portfolio Analysis. These modules equip students with a deep understanding of financial systems, investment strategies, and the mathematical tools used to assess and manage risk. Throughout the year, students also complete a Dissertation in Financial Mathematics, allowing them to apply their knowledge to an independent research project that explores real-world financial issues. In addition to the core curriculum, students can tailor their studies with a wide range of optional modules such as Bank Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Mathematics, Linear Statistical Models, Bank Risk Management, Machine Learning and Statistics for Health, Money and Banking, and Monte Carlo Simulations.
