COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Accounting and Finance provides a comprehensive foundation through core and optional modules designed to build expertise across key areas of the discipline. In the autumn term, students study Corporate Finance, Institutions in the Global Financial Market, Issues in Financial Reporting, and Management Accounting & Control, developing essential analytical and strategic skills for understanding financial systems and corporate decision-making. The spring term deepens theoretical and practical knowledge through modules in Accounting Theory, Investments, and Research Methods for Finance, preparing students to conduct independent and applied financial research. During the summer, students complete a Research Dissertation, allowing them to explore a specialist topic in depth and apply their learning to real-world financial challenges. Alongside core modules, students can personalise their studies by selecting from a range of optional modules such as Accountability and Ethics, International Corporate Reporting, Money and Banking, and Programming for Accounting and Banking. These options enable students to broaden their perspectives and gain insights into emerging global issues and technical applications within finance and accounting.
