COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in Digital Humanities and Media Studies offers a comprehensive program combining theoretical insight, practical skills, and creative engagement with digital media. Core modules include Media Theory and Research in the autumn, providing students with a strong foundation in critical approaches to media, digital culture, and research methodologies. The course equips students with the analytical and technical skills needed to explore contemporary debates in media and digital humanities, preparing them to engage with evolving media landscapes. Optional modules allow students to tailor their learning to specific interests and career goals. In the spring, options include Activist Media Practice, Global News Industries, New Developments in Digital Media, Promotional Culture, Race, Culture and the Media, and Techno-Feminism History and Practice. These modules offer opportunities to develop practical expertise, explore social and cultural dimensions of media, and understand the impact of digital technologies on communication, culture, and society. Students gain experience in media production, critical analysis, and research, building both creative and professional competencies. The program prepares graduates for careers in digital content creation, social media, digital marketing, UX/UI design, media policy, and related fields, while also providing a solid foundation for entrepreneurial ventures or further academic study in media, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary research.
