COURSE CURRICULUM

This creative media course provides a hands-on, industry-focused education over three years, combining core modules with options that allow students to tailor their learning to their interests. In the first year, students build foundational skills through modules in creative practice, photography, sonic narratives, communication design, video production, and the creation, distribution, and promotion of media. The second year develops professional and technical expertise, with core modules on careers in the creative industries, media creation, and research-focused media production, alongside options in factual storytelling, motion design, animation, games design and criticism, photography, and podcasting. In the final year, students focus on independent and advanced projects, including a media project, video essays, and modules on emerging technologies, providing opportunities to explore new tools and approaches. Additional options such as film and social change, body politics and technology, social media activism, AI, creative entrepreneurship, and utopian cultural politics allow students to specialize and respond to contemporary cultural and technological challenges. Across all years, the course emphasizes practical experience, professional readiness, and creative innovation, enabling students to develop, execute, and present ambitious media projects. Graduates leave equipped with the skills, confidence, and professional networks to pursue careers in media, creative industries, and socially engaged content creation.
