COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Public Relations and Strategic Communications program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of PR theory and practice, combined with practical skills to thrive in a dynamic media landscape. In the autumn semester, students study core modules such as Public Relations and Public Communications Theories and Research Methods, while also choosing from a range of optional modules including Advanced Topics in Communication, Media Relations and Production, and Human Information Behaviour. This allows students to tailor their learning to their specific interests and career goals. During the spring semester, students continue to develop their expertise through the compulsory module Strategic Public Relations Planning, which focuses on designing and implementing effective PR campaigns. They can also select from optional modules such as Advanced Social Media Analytics, Visual Communication Design, Digital Video Production, and Investigative Research, providing opportunities to gain hands-on experience with modern communication tools and techniques. The summer semester is dedicated to a 60-credit dissertation, allowing students to conduct independent research and apply their learning to a real-world or theoretical project. Throughout the course, students gain both practical and analytical skills, build a professional portfolio, and develop the strategic insight necessary to succeed in PR, digital communication, and related fields, preparing them for a variety of careers in the global communications industry.
