COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Investment Analysis program provides a comprehensive foundation in finance, equipping students with the practical skills needed for a career in investment management. In the autumn semester, students study corporate finance, financial reporting, quantitative methods in finance, and economics for banking and finance, alongside the Flying Start Leadership program to develop professional skills. These modules provide the technical and analytical grounding required to understand financial markets, corporate decision-making, and economic principles. During the spring semester, students advance their expertise by focusing on financial statement analysis, investment regulation and ethics, and the valuation and management of diverse investment instruments, including fixed income, alternative investments, derivatives, and equity portfolios. This combination of technical knowledge and ethical awareness ensures graduates can assess risks, make informed investment decisions, and comply with industry standards. The program culminates in a summer dissertation, which allows students to undertake an independent research project, applying their skills to a real-world financial problem or investment scenario. With its practical and internationally relevant focus, the MSc Investment Analysis prepares students from diverse academic backgrounds to pursue careers as investment analysts, portfolio managers, or financial consultants, equipping them to navigate global financial markets and respond to the challenges of a rapidly evolving investment landscape.
