COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Accounting and Finance provides students with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in a global financial environment. In the autumn semester, students begin with foundational modules including corporate finance, financial reporting, and quantitative methods in finance, alongside the Flying Start Leadership program and an introduction to accounting in society, which together establish a strong base in both technical and professional competencies. These modules ensure students understand the principles of financial decision-making, reporting standards, and the social and regulatory context of accounting practices. In the spring semester, the focus shifts to more advanced topics such as management accounting and control, financial statement analysis, and a choice of specialised options including empirical methods in finance, advanced financial reporting, international corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and derivatives. This allows students to tailor their studies to specific career goals while deepening their analytical and strategic skills. The summer semester is dedicated to an independent dissertation, enabling students to conduct in-depth research on a topic of their choice, applying theoretical knowledge to practical financial challenges. By the end of the program, graduates gain a comprehensive understanding of international accounting and finance, equipping them for professional roles in auditing, consulting, financial analysis, investment management, and corporate finance, ready to meet the demands of a complex, globalised business landscape.
