COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Fintech program provides a comprehensive mix of finance and technology modules to prepare students for the fast-growing financial technology sector. In the autumn semester, students study Blockchain Technologies, Cyber Security, and Bank Theory, Operations and Strategy, developing a solid grounding in both financial systems and emerging technologies. They also select an option module such as Economics for Banking and Finance, Corporate Finance, or Representing and Manipulating Data, allowing them to tailor their learning to their career goals. The spring semester builds on this foundation with compulsory modules in Machine Learning and Mobile Financial Applications, equipping students with advanced data and application development skills. Students can further specialise through options such as Digital Banking Technology and Innovation, Innovation Management, Investment Regulation and Ethics, Financial Statement Analysis, or Investments in equity and portfolio management. These options provide flexibility for students to shape their expertise in areas of particular interest. In the summer semester, the focus shifts to independent research, where students complete a dissertation project or undertake the first stage of a professional doctorate. By combining finance, data analytics, regulation, and technological innovation, the course ensures graduates are well prepared for diverse roles in fintech, banking, and financial services.
