COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Finance program provides a comprehensive foundation in financial theory, quantitative skills, and practical applications to prepare students for careers in the financial sector. In the autumn semester, students begin with the Flying Start Leadership program, which sets the tone for professional development. Core modules include Quantitative Methods in Finance, which builds strong analytical and statistical skills, and Economics for Banking and Finance, which introduces essential economic principles. Students also study Corporate Finance, gaining insights into capital structure and investment decisions, alongside Financial Reporting, which develops understanding of financial statements and accounting practices. In the spring semester, students tailor their learning through optional modules. They can choose from areas such as Financial Statement Analysis or Derivatives for a 20-credit option, as well as a broader range of specialised finance topics including Empirical Methods in Finance and Accounting, International Corporate Finance, and Mergers and Acquisitions. These options allow students to focus either on case study approaches or research-based dissertation pathways. The program concludes in the summer semester with a 40-credit dissertation, enabling students to apply their learning to an in-depth research project or case study, consolidating their expertise for careers in finance, banking, consultancy, or further academic study.
