COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Finance and Data Analytics provides students with a comprehensive mix of financial expertise and technical skills in data science, preparing them for careers at the intersection of finance and technology. In the autumn semester, students build a strong foundation with modules such as Corporate Finance, Quantitative Methods in Finance, and Representing and Manipulating Data, ensuring they develop the ability to interpret financial information and work effectively with large datasets. The inclusion of Blockchain Technologies introduces students to one of the most disruptive innovations in the financial sector, equipping them with knowledge of digital assets and distributed ledger systems. In the spring semester, the focus shifts toward advanced technical applications, with Machine Learning as a compulsory module, offering practical skills in predictive modelling, automation, and artificial intelligence applied to financial data. Alongside this, students choose from a range of finance and data analysis options, including Derivatives, Financial Statement Analysis, Investment Regulation and Ethics, or Empirical Methods in Finance and Accounting, allowing them to tailor their studies to specific career goals. The summer semester culminates with a dissertation, where students apply their skills to an in-depth research project, consolidating knowledge and enhancing employability in finance, data analytics, or fintech.
