COURSE CURRICULUM

The Masters in Environmental Management offers students a flexible and comprehensive structure that allows them to specialise in key areas of interest while gaining a solid grounding in essential environmental skills. In the autumn semester, students choose from a range of modules that develop critical expertise in data analysis, environmental policy, economics, and field techniques, as well as technical knowledge in remote sensing. The spring semester builds on this foundation with further options that include geomatics, biodiversity and ecosystem services, environmental impact assessment, and the environmental costs of energy production, giving students the opportunity to focus on ecological, technical, or policy-related aspects of environmental management. Those interested in informatics can also select modules in databases to enhance their data handling capabilities. The program culminates in the summer semester with an independent dissertation project, worth 60 credits, which enables students to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to a specialist area of research. Whether focusing on ecological conservation, environmental governance, or sustainable energy, the dissertation provides an essential platform for original contribution and professional development, preparing graduates for careers in diverse environmental sectors.
