COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Data Science for Business program offers a structured blend of technical, analytical, and professional development skills across three semesters. In the autumn semester, students begin with the Flying Start Leadership program and Personal and Professional Development, both designed to build confidence and leadership capabilities. Core technical learning includes modules such as Representing and Manipulating Data, Business Analytics, and Statistics with R, providing a foundation in handling data, applying statistical methods, and understanding business applications of analytics. In the spring semester, the focus shifts to advanced skills with compulsory modules in Machine Learning and Business Consulting, equipping students to apply data-driven techniques to solve complex business problems and deliver practical solutions. Students can also tailor their learning through an option module, choosing from areas such as Project Management, Innovation Management, Relational and non-Relational Databases, or Mobile Financial Applications, allowing them to align their studies with career goals. The summer semester is dedicated to the Independent Project, a 60-credit dissertation where students apply their acquired knowledge and skills to an in-depth research or practical project. By the end of the program, graduates are prepared to bridge the gap between data science and business strategy, making them valuable assets in data-driven industries.
