COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Business Analytics provides a structured program that blends technical training with professional development to prepare students for data-driven roles in business and industry. In the autumn semester, students begin with the Flying Start Leadership program, a zero-credit module designed to build confidence and leadership skills, alongside a 10-credit module in Personal and Professional Development that focuses on career readiness. Statistics with R introduces essential data analysis skills, while Business Analytics and Text Analytics for Business, both 20-credit modules, equip students with the ability to analyse business data, extract insights, and apply text mining techniques to real-world problems. The spring semester builds on this foundation with more advanced applications, including Machine Learning, which covers predictive modelling and algorithmic approaches; Digital Business and Data Technologies, which explores the role of digital transformation and emerging technologies in business contexts; and Business Consulting, a practical module that provides experience in applying analytical solutions to organizational challenges. In the summer semester, students undertake a 60-credit Independent Project, which can focus on either academic research or an industry-based business analytics problem. By combining theory, practice, and professional development, the course prepares graduates to deliver impactful insights and drive decision-making across a range of industries.
