COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Physiotherapy program is structured to enhance clinical expertise and research capability through a series of advanced, practice-focused modules. In the first year, students begin with Neuromusculoskeletal Assessment and Reasoning, which develops advanced clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills for assessing complex musculoskeletal conditions. This is followed by Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy Management and Rehabilitation, where students learn to apply evidence-based techniques and rehabilitation strategies to support patient recovery and optimise physical function. Preparing for Research in Health introduces the principles of research design, data analysis, and ethical practice, equipping students with the skills needed to undertake independent research. Professional Skills for Global Healthcare Practice focuses on developing the cultural competence, communication, and leadership skills required to work effectively across diverse health systems and international settings. The Research Project serves as the culmination of the program, allowing students to conduct a detailed investigation into a physiotherapy-related topic of their choice, applying theoretical knowledge to practical or clinical issues. Together, these modules provide a strong foundation for clinical excellence, research engagement, and professional growth, preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to patient care, service innovation, and evidence-based practice within both national and global healthcare environments.
