COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Leadership and Management in Healthcare program is structured across three semesters, combining theoretical study, practical skills development, and independent research to prepare healthcare professionals for effective leadership roles. In the first semester, students focus on core modules such as Leading and Managing in Complex Organisations, which explores strategies for navigating and influencing multifaceted healthcare environments, and Leading Change for Patient and Service Improvement, which examines approaches to implementing meaningful improvements in clinical and administrative settings. The second semester builds on these foundations with Project Management and Methods of Inquiry, providing essential tools for planning, executing, and evaluating healthcare initiatives, alongside The 'Me' in Leadership for Healthcare Practice, a module that encourages self-reflection, personal development, and the cultivation of leadership qualities tailored to professional contexts. The final semester is dedicated to the Dissertation, a substantial independent research project that allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world healthcare leadership or management challenge, demonstrating analytical ability, problem-solving, and professional competence.
