COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Human Resource Management program is structured across three trimesters, combining theory, practical application, and research to equip students with the skills needed for strategic HR roles. In the first trimester, HR Strategy & Practices introduces the principles of human resource management, emphasising how effective strategies contribute to organisational success. Employment Law provides a thorough understanding of the legal frameworks that govern workplace practices, enabling students to advise organisations on compliance and risk management. Leadership & Development focuses on building leadership capabilities and understanding how to motivate and manage teams effectively. The second trimester addresses Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for HR Practitioners, preparing students to foster inclusive workplaces that support performance and organisational culture. Organisational Design & Development explores methods for structuring and optimising organisations, while Technology, Data & Future of Work examines how emerging technologies and data-driven approaches are transforming workforce management and the nature of work itself. The final trimester is dedicated to Research Methods and the Organisational Project, allowing students to apply their learning in a practical context, conducting research or implementing projects that address real-world HR challenges. Together, these modules develop graduates’ strategic, analytical, and practical expertise, preparing them to lead human resource functions, drive organisational development, and contribute to effective HR practice across national and international contexts.
