COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Construction Management program equips students with the knowledge and skills to manage complex construction projects and lead teams effectively within the built environment sector. In the first trimester, students study Construction Health, Safety and Environment, Procurement, Corporate Construction Finance, and Integrated Design and Delivery Systems, developing a strong foundation in safety regulations, sustainable practices, financial planning, and collaborative design processes. These modules provide insight into how construction projects can be delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget. In the second trimester, the focus shifts to advanced project management techniques through modules such as Project and Production Management, Construction Scheduling and Control, Value and Risk Management, and Project Management Practice. These subjects help students understand how to plan, execute, and control projects using modern tools and strategies while addressing financial, operational, and environmental risks. In the final trimester, students undertake a dissertation, conducting independent research on a relevant topic within the construction industry. This allows them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges and develop analytical and leadership skills. The program prepares graduates for senior management roles in construction, project delivery, and consultancy, meeting the growing demand for skilled professionals in the global construction and infrastructure sectors.
