COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Public Relations and Digital Communications program is structured over three trimesters to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills for careers in communications. In the first trimester, students study PR and Journalism, gaining an understanding of media structures, reporting techniques, and the role of public relations in shaping public perception. Content Creation equips students with technical and creative skills to produce engaging multimedia materials for digital platforms, while Understanding PR Campaigns introduces the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns, focusing on strategy, target audiences, and measurement of impact. The second trimester continues with Understanding PR Campaigns to deepen students’ ability to design and manage effective campaigns, alongside Professional PR Practice, which develops industry-ready skills in reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and ethical decision-making. In the final trimester, students undertake a Major Project or Dissertation, applying their learning to an independent research or practical project, demonstrating both strategic understanding and professional competence. Across all trimesters, the program emphasizes hands-on experience, creativity, and engagement with industry practices, enabling students to build a professional portfolio and gain insights into the communications sector. Graduates leave equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue careers in PR, digital communications, content production, and related fields.
