COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sport Business Management degree provides students with a comprehensive understanding of both the sports industry and the business skills required to succeed within it. In the second year, the focus shifts to professional development and applied learning, with modules covering sport and the media, project management, sport in the digital world, and live project work in sport business. Students also have the opportunity to explore a short elective or undertake a work placement to gain real-world experience, with options including business intelligence, applied econometrics, legal aspects of business, contemporary international marketing, sports finance, and internships. The third year emphasises advanced leadership, strategic thinking, and ethical considerations in sport business, with modules such as business ethics and sustainability, globalisation of sport, leadership and management, innovation and entrepreneurship, consultancy for sports business, and strategic management. Students again have the chance to select an elective or complete a placement, with options like big data analytics, climate change and sustainability, sport event management, technology innovation, and international projects. Overall, the program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to thrive in the dynamic global sports industry.
