COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sound Engineering and Production degree offers a comprehensive pathway for students to develop expertise in audio technology, music production, and sound design. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules in analogue electronics, acoustics, studio production, live sound connections, music technology systems, and signal chain theory, establishing essential technical and practical skills. The second year focuses on applying these skills in professional contexts, with modules covering industrial studies and career management, group design projects, audio production for TV and radio, audio installation, advanced audio production, and sound design. This combination of technical learning and applied experience prepares students to work in diverse media and production environments. In the final year, students deepen their specialization with modules in audio programming, audio forensics and restoration, audio for games and virtual reality, spatial audio, and a major project that allows them to demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and professional competence. Across the program, students gain hands-on experience in industry-standard studios and acoustic labs, fostering both technical proficiency and practical confidence.
