COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) International Business degree at Salford provides students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in a global business environment. In the first year, students develop foundational understanding through modules such as Digital and Business Skills, Understanding Organisations, International Business, Data Analysis for Business, The Future of Business, and Business Finance in Practice. This introduces key concepts in management, finance, and the impact of technology and globalisation on business operations. In the second year, the focus shifts to professional development and applied learning, with modules covering International Trade and Finance, Project Management, International Logistics and Distribution, and a Live Project for International Business. Students can also choose short modules or work placements to broaden practical experience, gaining insights into areas like business accounting, digital workplaces, and entrepreneurship. In the final year, students build on their knowledge through advanced modules in Business Ethics and Sustainability, Contemporary Issues in International Business, Leadership and Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, International Business Culture, and Strategic Management. Optional modules and placements further allow students to explore specialisms such as big data analytics, investment management, climate change, and international projects. Through a mix of theory, practical application, and industry engagement, the degree equips graduates to navigate complex global markets and pursue careers in multinational organisations, entrepreneurial ventures, or international consultancy.
