COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Creative Computing degree offers a dynamic and forward-thinking curriculum that combines art, technology, and design to prepare students for innovative careers in the digital world. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in programming and creative expression through modules such as Programming and Generative Art, Front-End Development, Physical Computing, and Introduction to JavaScript. They also explore creativity in social and artistic contexts through Introduction to Creative Play and Creative Computing in the Arts and Society. The second year focuses on applying technical and collaborative skills in real-world settings, with modules like Creative Collaboration, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematical Practice in Creative Computing, Interaction Design and the Internet of Things, Full-Stack Development, and XR Design, encouraging students to experiment with emerging technologies and user-focused design. In the final year, the emphasis shifts toward professional practice and independent creation through modules such as Creative Industry Challenge, Computational Ethics Project, Mobile and Web Project, Generative Art Project, and the Digital Arts Exhibition. These capstone projects allow students to showcase their technical, ethical, and creative abilities. By graduation, students are equipped with advanced digital design, programming, and problem-solving skills, ready to innovate across technology, media, and creative industries.
