COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management course offers a structured and comprehensive learning experience across three years, combining theoretical knowledge with practical project-based skills. In the first year, students develop foundational understanding through modules such as Technology 1, Introduction to Law and Regulatory Framework, and Introduction to Construction Management. They also engage in Construction Management Project 1 and learn about Economics and Management, as well as Site Supervision and Operational Management, establishing essential technical and managerial competencies. The second year builds on this foundation with a focus on process improvement and advanced management techniques through modules like Construction Process Management, Lean and Offsite Production Management, and Technology 2. Students also undertake Construction Management Project 2, along with Procurement and Administration and a multidisciplinary group project that enhances collaboration and real-world problem-solving skills. In the final year, the course emphasizes professional application, research, and sustainability through modules such as the Discipline Research Project, Project Management, Professional Practice, Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, and Sustainable Design and Construction. The inclusion of Integrated Design and Delivery Systems ensures students gain a holistic understanding of modern construction practices, preparing them to manage complex projects effectively and transition smoothly into professional roles within the built environment industry.
