COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management program is a three-year degree designed to develop students’ leadership, management, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them for careers across diverse business sectors. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules in digital and business skills, understanding organisations, creative problem-solving and decision-making, data analysis, business finance, and the future of business, providing essential skills in strategy, analysis, and decision-making. The second year advances students’ understanding with modules in professional development, operations management, project management, marketing to consumers in the digital age, and a live business project, allowing practical application of theoretical knowledge. Optional modules, such as business intelligence, legal aspects of business, applied econometrics, contemporary marketing, Young Enterprise, the digital workplace, and internships, enable students to tailor their studies to individual interests and gain hands-on experience. In the final year, students focus on advanced topics including business ethics and sustainability, supply chain management and digital transformation, leadership and management, innovation and entrepreneurship, and strategic management. Additional optional modules, such as big data analytics, climate change, information security, investment management, sport event management, technology innovation, and practical work placements, allow further specialization. The program concludes with a final project, either a business entrepreneurial simulation, dissertation, or AI for business module. Overall, the course equips graduates with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience to lead, innovate, and succeed in a competitive business environment.
