COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting and Finance program is structured to provide a progressive and comprehensive education over three years, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in the finance industry. In the first year, students focus on core modules including contemporary practices in accounting and finance, governance, ethics and the legal and regulatory environment, digital and quantitative skills, business economics, and the fundamentals of financial and management accounting. These modules establish a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business operations. In the second year, students continue their professional development and explore sustainability in accounting and finance while selecting four elective modules from a range of options such as financial management, entrepreneurial accounting, personal tax and audit, intermediate accounting, equity analysis, managing risk and financial performance, and FinTech. The elective choices in year two influence the available options in the final year, allowing students to tailor their studies to their career goals. In the third year, students complete core modules in career development and reflective practice, alongside four further electives including business taxation, accounting fraud and financial crime, advanced management and financial accounting, environmental accounting, audit and assurance, disruptive technology, strategic management, and a business integration project. The program combines academic rigour with practical application, fostering critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and professional expertise, preparing graduates for dynamic careers in accounting, finance, and related sectors.
