COURSE CURRICULUM

The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Professional Experience degree offers a structured curriculum that develops technical expertise, analytical skills, and professional competence across three years of study. In the first year, students gain a strong foundation in core principles through modules such as Analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Engineering Mathematics, Project and Risk Management, Introduction to Computer and Network Systems, and Engineering Python. These modules introduce essential concepts in electronics, programming, and system design while developing problem-solving and project management skills. The second year builds on this foundation with more advanced study, including Control Engineering and Group Design 2, Machines and Drives, Engineering Mathematics, Digital Signal Processing, Computing Laboratory, and Electromagnetism and Electrical Group Design 1, combining theoretical learning with practical, collaborative projects. In the final year, students focus on specialised and applied topics, including Powertrain, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, Control and Power Systems, Embedded Systems, Automation and Robotics, Industrial Management and Project Preparation, and the Final Year Project. These modules integrate technical knowledge with real-world applications, encouraging innovation and independent problem-solving.
