The BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion degree at the University of Salford provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills and industry engagement. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation through modules such as The Customer Journey, Bloggers, Vloggers and Influencers, Fashion Graphics Introduction, Fashion Marketing, Ethical Practice and Buying, and Fashion Communication and Media. These modules introduce students to key concepts in marketing, communication, and ethical practices, while also encouraging creative and digital skills. The second year builds on this foundation, focusing on emerging trends and professional development through modules such as The Future of Shopping, Advanced Fashion Media, Enterprise in Action, Visual Merchandising and Branding Strategies, and Industry Live Briefs or Work Experience. These opportunities allow students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, collaborating with industry partners and gaining valuable hands-on experience. In the final year, students specialise further with modules including E-marketing and Branding Strategies, Fixing Fashion: A Sustainable Future, Buying and Product Development, and a Major Personal Project. This stage emphasises strategic thinking, sustainability, and independent project management, enabling students to develop innovative solutions and prepare for professional careers. Graduates leave with a broad, practical, and industry-informed skill set suitable for roles in fashion marketing, branding, retail management, and creative entrepreneurship.
