COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Accounting, Financial Management and Digital Business is a 180-credit postgraduate programme designed to develop expertise in accounting, finance, digital business, analytics, and management. The programme begins with two non-credit pre-study courses: Future of Work: Coding with Python for Business and Finance, and Study Skills for Success, which help students prepare for postgraduate study. In Semester 1, students complete compulsory modules including Business Finance, International Financial Accounting, Business Informatics, Business Data Analytics, and Leading in the Digital Organisation, each worth 20 credits. These modules provide a strong foundation in financial management, accounting principles, digital technologies, data analytics, and leadership. In Semester 2, students study Management Decision Making and Performance Evaluation, and Advanced International Financial Reporting and Analysis, while also selecting optional modules such as Accounting for Sustainability, Corporate Governance and Ethics, Accounting Information Systems, Financial Management: Cases and Excel Modelling Applications, AI and Data Analytics in Business, or Management Accounting: Theory and Practice. Each module carries 20 credits and allows students to tailor their studies to their career interests. During the final stage of the programme, students undertake either an independent research Project or a Work Placement and Project, worth 20 credits. Overall, the programme develops advanced knowledge of financial reporting, business analytics, digital transformation, governance, sustainability, and strategic decision-making, preparing graduates for professional careers in accounting, finance, consulting, and digital business.
