COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Real Estate degree provides a comprehensive education in property, valuation, finance, economics, law, and asset management, preparing students for professional careers across the real estate industry. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation through modules such as Introduction to Data Analysis, which introduces statistical methods, data visualisation, Excel, and AI applications in real estate, alongside Introductory Economics for Business and Finance, which explores market behaviour, economic growth, inflation, interest rates, and business cycles. Property, Law, Rights and Institutions examines the legal and regulatory framework governing land ownership and property rights, while Real Estate Valuation 1 introduces the valuation of property and other investment assets. Students also study Contemporary Issues in Real Estate and Planning and Ethics and Sustainable Development, focusing on challenges such as climate change, housing affordability, urban regeneration, and responsible business practices. In the second year, learning advances through Real Estate and Urban Economics, Real Estate Valuation 2, Real Estate and Planning Law, and Real Estate Finance and Investment, providing a deeper understanding of property markets, valuation methods, legal frameworks, and investment analysis. Real Estate Entrepreneurship and Technology develops innovation and business skills relevant to a rapidly evolving sector. In the final year, students specialise further through Real Estate Valuation 3, Development Appraisal and Finance, and Real Estate Asset Management, gaining expertise in investment decision-making, development viability, portfolio management, and asset performance. The programme culminates in a Project in Valuation and Asset Management, applying professional knowledge to contemporary real estate challenges and market.
