COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Business and Management (Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour) programme combines a strong foundation in business and management with specialist knowledge in human resource management, leadership, and organisational behaviour, preparing students to manage and develop people in modern workplaces. In the first year, students build essential business knowledge through modules in management theory, marketing, accounting, data analytics, and professional development, while also strengthening communication, business writing, and career planning skills. During the second year, the programme focuses on business strategy, operations, organisational behaviour, human resource management, social responsibility, strategic HR management, and leadership, helping students understand how organisations attract, manage, motivate, and retain employees while balancing business objectives and employee needs. Students also have opportunities to explore optional subjects such as international business, entrepreneurship, machine learning, marketing, ethics, and financial reporting, allowing them to broaden their business understanding. In the final year, students develop a global perspective through compulsory modules in International Human Resource Management and Personal Leadership, gaining knowledge of how HR practices differ across cultures and learning to develop their own leadership capabilities. A wide range of optional modules enables students to specialise further in areas such as digital marketing, international marketing, corporate strategy, project management, social enterprise, information systems, global ethics, commercial law, and business evolution. The programme also offers opportunities to study languages and university-wide modules to enhance interdisciplinary and international skills. Throughout the degree, students develop expertise in people management, leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
