COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Accounting and Finance degree provides a comprehensive education in accounting, finance, investment, and business, preparing students for careers in accounting firms, financial institutions, consulting organisations, investment companies, and multinational corporations. Additional specialist options allow students to explore topics such as forensic accounting, business taxation, project management, private equity and venture capital, pension finance, fintech and cryptocurrencies, Islamic accounting and governance, business strategy, and artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance. Students may also undertake research or accounting projects to strengthen their analytical and investigative skills. Throughout the programme, there is a strong emphasis on professional ethics, sustainability, technology, innovation, and practical application of financial theory. The course develops key competencies in financial analysis, problem-solving, data interpretation, risk assessment, communication, and strategic thinking while providing exposure to emerging areas such as blockchain, fintech, AI, and sustainable finance.
