COURSE CURRICULUM

This programme provides a structured pathway for developing proficiency in French, German, Italian, or Spanish, accommodating students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced entry levels. In the first stage, students select a language module appropriate to their prior experience, ranging from Beginners Language, which develops skills to approximately A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), to Intermediate Language at B1 level, or Advanced Language I at B1.2/B2.1 level. The second stage enables further progression through Intermediate, Advanced Language I, or Advanced Language II modules, strengthening speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills while preparing students for advanced study. Students also complete the compulsory zero-credit module, Preparing for the Year Abroad Part 2, designed to support their transition to international study or work. A key feature of the programme is the Year Abroad, during which students enhance their linguistic competence and intercultural awareness through study at a partner university, a work placement, or employment as a language teaching assistant. Following the Year Abroad, students continue their language development through Advanced Language I, II, or III modules, progressing from B1.2/B2.1 to B2.2 and ultimately achieving C1/C2-level fluency, enabling confident and sophisticated communication in academic, professional, and intercultural contexts.
