COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Human Resource Management program offers a combination of core and optional modules designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary HR practices and strategic management. Core modules such as Analysing and Managing Performance develop students’ ability to evaluate organisational performance and implement effective performance management systems, while Business Leadership for the HR Professional focuses on cultivating leadership skills and understanding how HR contributes to broader business objectives. Human Resource Management in a Global Context examines HR practices across international environments, preparing students to operate in increasingly globalised workplaces. Human Resource Strategy in a Business Context explores the alignment of HR initiatives with organisational goals, while International Resourcing and Talent Management addresses workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development on a global scale. People Management and Development focuses on employee engagement, professional development, and skills enhancement. The Dissertation module provides the opportunity for in-depth independent research, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical HR challenges. Optional modules enable further specialisation, including Managing Employment Relations, which examines industrial relations and conflict resolution; Coaching and Mentoring for the HR Practitioner, which develops skills in supporting employee growth; and Learning and Talent Development, which emphasises strategies to enhance organisational capability. Together, these modules equip graduates with critical thinking, practical skills, and professional competencies to succeed in strategic HR roles and leadership positions across sectors.
