The core modules of the MSc Cloud Computing program provide a comprehensive foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of modern cloud technologies. Cloud Computing and Administration introduces students to the principles, architectures, and management of cloud environments, while Cloud Data Platforms and Tools focuses on handling, processing, and analysing data within cloud infrastructures. Networks and Cloud Systems develops expertise in designing and maintaining robust, scalable networked cloud solutions, and Information Systems Security ensures students understand the essential practices required to protect data and systems in cloud environments. Software Engineering and Web Service Design and Development provide skills in developing reliable, scalable software applications and services suitable for cloud deployment. Frontiers of Computer Science Research exposes students to current innovations and emerging trends in computing, helping them critically engage with cutting-edge technologies. Research Methods equips students with the methodological and analytical skills required to conduct rigorous academic and applied research, and the Research Project allows students to apply these skills to a substantial, independent investigation, often involving real-world cloud computing challenges.
