Fermentation Biotechnology introduces students to the principles and applications of microbial fermentation in industrial processes, exploring how microorganisms are used to produce pharmaceuticals, enzymes, and other valuable products. Molecular Biotechnology focuses on recombinant DNA technology, genetic engineering, and advanced molecular methods essential for developing new biotechnological solutions. The Microbial World offers an in-depth understanding of microbial diversity, physiology, and interactions, forming the basis for applied microbiology. Industrial and Environmental Microbiology examines how microbes function in industrial settings and natural environments, highlighting their roles in bioremediation, waste treatment, and sustainable production. Identification of Infectious Diseases develops skills in detecting, analysing, and understanding pathogens, combining molecular diagnostics with applied microbiology. Professional and Research Skills in the Life and Environmental Sciences helps students build competencies in scientific communication, data analysis, laboratory practice, and research design.
