COURSE CURRICULUM

The core modules of this program provide a strong foundation in understanding, communicating, and managing arts and cultural work within contemporary creative industries. Students explore how to communicate effectively through the Communications and Marketing for Arts and Culture module, developing strategies to promote projects, organisations, and creative ideas. The Creative Industries Speaker Series offers direct engagement with professionals from across the sector, giving insight into real-world practices, challenges, and career pathways. Understanding and articulating value is another key focus, helping students to contextualise cultural work and demonstrate its impact within communities and wider society. Project Planning and Management supports students in shaping future initiatives by equipping them with techniques for designing, organising, and delivering successful creative projects. The Audience and Visitor Economies module deepens understanding of who cultural work is for, examining audience behaviour, engagement, and the economic factors that influence visitor experiences. Finally, the Professional Project allows students to apply their learning in a practical context, working on a live or self-directed project that strengthens their professional identity and career readiness. Together, these modules build a comprehensive skill set for developing, managing, and communicating meaningful cultural and creative initiatives.
