COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM International Corporate and Commercial Law program provides a comprehensive understanding of legal principles governing business and commercial activities in a global context. Core modules cover International Business Law, International Corporate Governance, International Investment Law, and International Trade Law, equipping students with the knowledge needed to navigate complex cross-border commercial transactions and regulatory frameworks. The dissertation component allows students to undertake an in-depth research project, developing advanced analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. Optional modules offer the opportunity to specialise and broaden expertise in areas such as Contemporary Issues in International Law, Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights, International Dispute Resolution, International Environmental Law, and Financial Services Regulation, among others. This flexibility enables students to tailor their studies to specific interests, whether in corporate governance, human rights, environmental law, or international dispute resolution. Throughout the program, students gain insight into the evolving legal, ethical, and regulatory challenges that arise in international corporate and commercial practice, developing the skills necessary to provide sound legal advice, contribute to policy development, and manage complex legal issues in multinational contexts. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in international legal practice, corporate advisory, consultancy, or further academic research, capable of addressing the dynamic demands of the global economy.
