COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB (Hons) Law course provides a comprehensive legal education, combining core theoretical knowledge with practical skills essential for the legal profession. In the first year, students study foundational subjects including Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract Law, and the English Legal System, while developing key abilities in Legal Skills A and B, and exploring Law, Society, and Professional Ethics. The second year builds on this foundation with core modules in Criminal Law, Land Law, and Tort Law, offering an understanding of key legal principles and their application. Students can also choose from a wide range of optional modules such as Company Law, Environmental Law, Equality Law, Human Rights Law, and Medical Law, enabling them to tailor their studies to specific interests. In the final year, Equity and Trusts forms the core focus, while options such as Employment Law, Family Law, International Law, Civil Litigation, and Law of Evidence provide opportunities to specialise further. Students can also gain hands-on experience through the Law Clinic, placements, or a Law Dissertation. Throughout the degree, emphasis is placed on legal reasoning, research, ethics, and advocacy, preparing graduates for professional legal training or careers in law, business, government, and related fields.
