The BSc (Hons) Psychology with Inclusive Education program at Lincoln provides a comprehensive exploration of psychological principles as they relate to learning and development, with a particular focus on supporting diverse learners. In the first year, students establish a strong foundation in psychology, studying modules such as Brain, Behaviour and Cognition, Developing the Individual in Society, and Psychology in Student Life, which introduce key concepts in cognitive, social, and developmental psychology while considering the broader social context. The second year builds on this knowledge through modules including Cognition, Developmental Psychology, Psychological Assessment and Psychometrics, and Social Psychology, allowing students to apply theory to understand how individuals learn and interact, and to develop practical skills in assessment and research. Optional opportunities such as International Study and a Work Experience Year give students the chance to gain global perspectives and practical experience in professional settings. In the final year, students continue to deepen their understanding of cognitive, developmental, social, and assessment-focused psychology while applying this knowledge to educational contexts, inclusive practices, and real-world learning environments. The course emphasizes research-based learning, critical thinking, and practical application, equipping graduates with the knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience necessary to pursue careers in education, educational support, and related fields where psychological insights are essential.
